Teresa "Terry" Smith is owner Jessie Smith's mother. Terry passed away at 50 years old, on May 8, 2009 from Rheumatoid lung disease brought on by her years of struggle with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
"Reach Out!" is Artsy's very own fundraising project, raising money for
Rheumatoid Arthritis Research.

All funds collected will be donated to the
Within Our Reach foundation.
Reach Out! is currently in planning stages.

Check back here again soon for information on events and specials to raise money for this worthy cause. Thank you for your support.
Artsy Studio & Gallery

is dedicated in loving memory

to Terry Smith
Terry loved Artsy and came to attend lessons whenever she could. She also enjoyed visiting the kids' classes so she could watch the kids paint and hear their stories. She was not only my mother but my frequent companion and very good friend.

This is how she felt about Artsy in her own words:

"Before taking lessons, my abilities were  stick figures, tulips, and boxes. Since taking lessons at Artsy I have learned to draw butterflies, birds, and more. I learn something new at every class. I am now doing acrylics and watercolor and loving it. If I can learn everyone can. It is so nice having me time, where I am able to create art and yet be pampered, encouraged and taught so much that I can use in everyday life."
